Need to catch up on your Alice? Electronic Arts has the answer, unless you are one of those filthy pre-owned game buyers.
A version of the 2000 PC game American McGee’s Alice will be included with each copy of the upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 sequel, Electronic Arts said Wednesday.
When you buy Alice: Madness Returns on June 14, it will include an Online Pass that will let you download the classic game. If you buy, rent, or otherwise acquire a used copy of the game without the requisite O.P., you will be asked to pony up $10 for the privilege. (See Bloomberg on “Project Ten Dollar.”)
Locked content aside, this is pretty awesome, considering that many people who will want to play Madness Returns won’t have played the original.
