Fans, videogame cover bands and chiptune artists have recreated the soundtracks of game composer Hiroyuki Iwatsuki in a new music compilation called Iwadon, which was revealed at PAX East panel last month.
Iwatsuki has been creating music for the Japanese videogame publisher Natsume since 1991. His soundtracks include work composed for Pocky & Rocky, Wild Guns and the Xbox Live Arcade game Omega Five.
Iwadon comes to us from Game Music 4 All and game music expert Jeriaska. The 30-track album, featuring tunes from 8-Bit Instrumental, Stemage and Cuckoo, can be streamed at the record’s official website. A Bandcamp download is in the works.
