TOKYO — Taito’s celebration plans for Space Invaders‘ 30th anniversary continue unabated, this time with a new collection of tees through Japan’s celebrated Marui department store.
The three available designs come from a variety of Japanese creators: the Neo-Japanesque aesthetic of Feebee, the manga-like effort from Teppei Kuroyanagi, and EDITMODE, which you probably better know as the team behind The King of Games t-shirt brand.
Even better, each t-shirt comes with a Space Invaders Extreme tote bag, so you can be a trendy eco-consumer too — it’s all the rage here in Tokyo these days.
All three designs are selling for 6,195 yen ($57) at the MaruiOne
Shinjuku event space on the fifth floor, but more importantly, also online from the MaruiOne international webstore.
