It’s been in the works for years, and now finally Adventure II, the sequel to the game that gave us dragons that look like ducks and gaming’s first Easter Egg, is finally ready and available for purchase.
Adventure II, for the Atari 5200, has been in the works for many years; every time I saw it at the Philly Classic or VGXPO conventions, it was always “almost done,” and I wondered if it would ever see the light of day. Now, not only is it done, it even has a special limited edition. Nice! It plays pretty much exactly like the first one does, but it has much nicer graphics and significantly larger environments than its predecessor. The dragons look a bit more dragony, but you are still just a square. Just as it should be.
The limited edition is truly limited, however, (only 250 copies), so you’d better hurry if you want one. It comes with some pretty sweet extras, so it’s totally worth the asking price.
