If a new retro-style Mega Man game has you excited, what about the prospect of two soundtracks to go with it?
Mega Man 9, the new upcoming entry in the series created in the style of the classic NES titles, is set for release sometime in September, and with it the first of two soundtracks.
The first CD will include all of the original 8-bit recordings created for the new game, 35 tracks in all, and will see release on September 12. A second compilation, this time featuring arranged versions of the game’s soundtrack, will hit stores October 10.
Both soundtracks have only been announced for Japan, and it’s probably safe to say they will remain that way. Even though Capcom USA has confirmed that the game is set to come out on WiiWare, Xbox Live Arcade, and PlayStation Network, only the Wii version has been confirmed for Japan.
